Located at the Embassy District of Bangkok, Central Embassy is a premier shopping mall that boasts more than 200 international brands that has a direct access from Phloen Chit and Chit Lom BTS.

Aside from retail stores, Central Embassy offers an array of restaurants at the 5th floor.

One caught our attention, Narra Thai Cuisine. Probably because of its rustic - minimalist interiors and their menu selection that successfully teased our palates.

Thanks to their courteous staff, we easily obtained seats. The house was almost full, but service was impeccable. From service to food quality, definitely a bang for your buck.

L -R:  Stir-fried Pork with Garlic, Stir-fried  Cowslip, and Catfish Salad

L-R: Crispy Fried whole Grouper with Fried Lemongrass, and Coconut Ice Cream toppings

Right after lunch, we headed to Harrods for coffee and dessert.

Central Embassy is open from Monday to Sunday from 10am until 10pm. For more information you may also visit their website.

I find neck straps convenient when traveling, but the weight of my camera and 18-55mm lens has been giving me a lot of neck pains.

Last week I ordered a Fujian 35MM F1.7 with an adapter and hood for my X-T10 and received the package the following day. I tested it right away since I've read on some blogs that there are inconsistencies with the lens, some perform well and some don't. Luck was on my side. The lens I got was working perfectly.

Black, Fujian 35mm f1.7 (with Fotasy C-FX Adapter, Lens and Hood)

Appearance
The Fujian 35MM F1.7 comes in 2 colors, black and silver. Material is made out of metal, and has a matte finish.

Durability
I was a bit iffy about the lens barrel, I had to nudge it a couple of times before being able to adjust the aperture ring.

Performance
Having a maximum aperture of 1.7, it shouts bokeh to almost every image produced. Another thing to note, this lens only has a manual focus ring.

Sample Shots
Here are a few raw images taken with the Fujian 35MM F1.7 + X-T10

Final Verdict
For it's price (2,300php or 45usd), definitely worth it!

Most of my photos was shot with this 16MP mirrorless camera. With the right blend of shutter speed, aperture and ISO, you'd get good photos with no post-processing needed.

The original battery that came with the unit lasts pretty long and you can also connect the camera with your smartphone via the Fujifilm Camera Remote app so you can view, transfer files and control the unit remotely. It also has an EVF (often used for daylight viewing) and an LCD monitor (for low and high angle shots) and a built-in flash.

The only downside for me is, you can't charge the battery via USB, I had to carry the wall charger everywhere since I'm too paranoid to run out of juice. Luckily, this camera has tons of accessories, original and third-party. I recently purchased a 3rd party accessory that came with 2 batteries and a USB charger. #problemsolved__________________________________________________________________

Go Pro Hero 5 Black

Go Pro Hero 5 Black
For my beach and great outdoors trip, I usually tag my Go Pro Hero 5 Black. It's waterproof without a dive case (10M) and obviously handy making it the perfect companion.

It's an action cam so don't expect that this gear will suffice your low light needs. The original battery drains a lot especially if you're into 4K video capturing. So always bring your Type-C cable and battery pack or if you have the budget, purchase extra batteries.

HDMI  and Type - C cable ports
Accessory wise, the market offers tons of original and third-party accessories but, these may cause some drought on your piggy bank. 💀

Remember: It's not about the gears, it's how you use them! Know your gears, have fun and shoot! 😄
